PSV Glass were working on initiatives to reduce energy consumption throughout their nationally run business, with offices and depots throughout the UK this was going to be a difficult project and one that would need to be viable financially.
PSV Glass explored many different options and decided to contact iGP to see how they could help in reducing heat gain into the building. iGP came up with a high performance solar film which reduced the heat gain in the office by up to 80%, this gave them a payback of just 2.1 years.
Unfortunately when the trials took place the visual effect from outside was not what PSV Glass were looking for on their sites. iGP then came up with a new solution, SolarGard's LX70 virtually clear film. This product doesn't alter the appearance of the building but still reduces the heat gain by up to 45%.
The payback increased to 7.3 years, but this still ticked enough boxes for the works to take place and results are being seen throughout the whole company ongoing.
